Commitment to Safety. Own Your Work. Respect and Embrace Safety Goals. Every Voice Matters.
While we have always been proactive by way of our safety standards and practices, there clearly is a feeling that we can do better among our organizations to engage in more dialogue around safety and to find ways to improve and get better. Core Zero is just the beginning of a process that will lead us to our goal of continuing to make safety a significant factor in everyone’s daily tasks, to prevent all accidents, and to provide a safe and healthy work environment.
To ensure we have success with this safety program it is critical that everyone take the content of Core Zero to heart and begin to look for actions in your day-to-day work that will contribute to a safer, healthier, and more efficient work environment.
As you learn about Core Zero and what it is about, let me take a few moments to discuss what Core Zero isn’t. Core Zero is not simply a safety communication. It is not a here today and gone tomorrow initiative. Core Zero is a program developed with understandings, responsibilities and accountabilities it places on all employees. We won’t simply be talking about safety – we will be living it, measuring its success, and strategically planning to reach our ultimate goal of zero accidents and incidents. Core Zero will be our safety culture.
Commitment to Core Zero doesn’t just impact the workplace. Our actions impact our customers, coworkers, family, and friends at home. Many of us have family, including young ones that depend on us. Core Zero is as important for them as it is to us. It is about ensuring employees and coworkers return home safely each day.
We intend to endorse Core Zero throughout our culture as well as every aspect of our business organizations. Core Zero will be the basis of our safety initiatives. This is, and will continue to be, the rule by which we govern our operations and how we will measure the success of our safety goals.
Should you have any questions on Core Zero, please ask. Ask your manager, anyone in leadership, safety or me. Core Zero is a requirement of being in any of the Titan EPC Organizations. Core Zero and the commitment of Safety belongs to us, I for one, look forward to seeing the product of our individual and collective commitment.
Thank you for being part of Titan EPC Companies and for all you do to make our organizations great.
